At Albion Parties, we create celebrations that people remember for decades. A recent commission was a perfect example, a once-in-a-lifetime white-tie wedding at The King’s Observatory in Richmond. Our couple had already married in a small ceremony, but this was the grand, unforgettable celebration: a party guests would still recall twenty years from now.
A Marquee That Felt Like a Stately Home
The bride’s vision was ambitious: a marquee that didn’t feel like a marquee at all, but rather a stately home conjured from another world. Guests stepped into a Georgian dreamscape - walls lined in Guy Goodfellow fabrics, antique furniture and artwork from Farley, the prop house behind 'Downton Abbey', flickering candlelight, and corridors that looked centuries old. Inspired by the ballroom scenes in 'The Leopard', it truly felt as though everyone had walked onto a film set.
“Guests became part of the theatre themselves. The setting and the people elevated one another into a rare, unforgettable alchemy.”
We worked closely with Guy throughout the design, ensuring every detail was perfect. Terraces over water, the Observatory illuminated as the backdrop to dancing, and an opulent nightclub inspired by Moroccan architecture, styled down to the last polished silver piece. Florist Tattie Rose’s romantic English arrangements added to the magic, while an Italian feast, inspired by the couple’s house in Tuscany, and live music, kept the evening flowing.

White Tie, Elevated
The bride insisted on white tie (“black tie no longer demands enough effort,” she said), transforming the party entirely. Guests dusted off heirloom jewels, arriving in couture gowns and tails, stepping into the role of the party itself. The Bryan Ferry jazz band played through the drinks reception, and the couple’s favourite, DJ Medi, was flown in from Morocco to complete 'The Leopard' theme.

Albion’s Signature: Total Immersion
This wedding follows our now-famed Willy Wonka celebration, another ultra-exclusive commission that stunned even the most seasoned guests. What links both events is Albion’s signature: total immersion, immaculate taste, and the ability to translate a client’s vision into something more magical than they ever imagined.
We were thrilled that this wedding was awarded 'Tatler’s Best White Tie Ball of 2025', a recognition of the creativity, detail, and dedication that went into bringing our brilliant client’s vision to life.
More Than Just a Party
At Albion, we are discreet, exacting, and collaborative, trusted by some of the most discerning families in the world. Our parties aren’t just parties; they are cultural moments in miniature, whispered about long after the final glass of champagne is poured.
This wedding was an extraordinary reminder of why we do what we do: creating celebrations that are glamorous, ambitious, and utterly unforgettable.
